Sunstar Technology Corporation was founded in 1988 by Larry Silvers. Mr. Silvers, a native of Brooklyn, New York, started his career with another independent distributor in 1984. Early in 1988 he had the foresight to see the need for an independent distributor to supply the commercial and military industry with obsolete, hard to find and allocated electronic components. Every customer is treated with the respect and professionalism that has been absent from this industry for too long. An advertising and communications major in school, Mr. Silvers saw the need for a company that not only fills the void in product, but also in customer service.
Sunstar has received several accommodations from various fortune 500 customers in the aerospace and communications sector as well as from various military bases around the country. Sunstar currently inventories millions of obsolete and hard to find commercial and military components. Sunstar Technology designed one of the first search and locate programs in the country. Our search program enables our trained sales staff to access over 3,000 inventories from more then 12 countries around the globe, cutting down on "phantom stock" problems.
